You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”
― Abraham Lincoln

If you pay attention, you can always tell a person’s true character. No matter how much they try to disguise their selfish ways.
Simple, see if their energy matches your energy. You are always there for them. If they need financial support or a listening ear, you don’t hesitate to be a person they can depend on. Most of the time, you are reaching out to check on them.
Now, let’s evaluate the relationship from the other side. How many times have this same person offered their assistance, provided moral support, or called to check on your well-being without wanting anything in return? Or, do they have a habit of giving you every excuse as a reason why they can’t be there?
Well, here’s the truth. The truth is that it’s not benefiting them. They have nothing to gain.
When a person shows you who they are, please believe them.
